Your comfort while at Ginger’s is as important to us as the treatment itself. We provide a private and relaxed environment for your treatment. All physiotherapy services take place in private rooms for one-on-one privacy. Our gym space is utilized exclusively for strengthening, demonstrations, and other related activities.

Ginger Peters

Member of the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario, the Ontario Physiotherapy Association (Orthopaedic Division), and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Ginger was born and raised in London, Ontario, and attended London Central SS, graduating with honours. She competed nationally as a junior athlete in track and field and turned down a volleyball scholarship in order to begin her physiotherapy education at the University of Toronto.

Graduating with her BSc in Physiotherapy in 1990, Ginger worked for over 16 years at a Toronto orthopaedic private practice collaborating with surgeons. With this experience, Ginger returned to London to open her own practice. She believes in the value of hands-on treatment and has completed many post-graduate courses specializing in manual therapy techniques. For over three decades, Ginger has successfully diagnosed and treated a wide variety of orthopaedic patients of all ages.

Ginger diagnoses orthopaedic problems in all areas related to:

  • Arthritis
  • Sport injuries of all age groups
  • Spinal degeneration and Acute Spinal Pain
  • Pre/post-surgical repairs/replacements/scopes
  • Congenital Scoliosis
  • Foot pain and implementation of Orthotic Devices

Emily

Emily McKenzie-Picot

Member of the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario, the Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Emily (she/they) grew up in London and spent most of her childhood and adolescence in Old North, before moving out to Eastern Ontario for several years. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in 2013 and returned to the University of Ottawa to do her Masters of Physiotherapy. She graduated in 2016 and worked in Cornwall until she returned home to London in 2019. She is happy to be back in her hometown.

Emily has a passion for concussion rehabilitation, vestibular disorders, and persistent/chronic pain. She has taken several continuing education courses in these areas. She is also interested in LGBTQ health and wellness and is an advocate for equity in healthcare. Outside of work, Emily enjoys being active and outdoors. She spent most of her teenage years and her early twenties as a competitive cyclist. She has started to branch out to running and rock climbing and she recently learned to skate and play hockey.
