Orthotics

Approximately 80 to 85% of the population have dysfunctional feet that do not properly support the weight of their body. This can lead to foot pain, bunions, calluses, plantar fasciitis, and heel spurs; and can contribute to or worsen ankle pain, knee pain, hip pain, and low back pain. Orthotics provide support you can insert into your footwear to help relieve pain. At Ginger’s, we do a detailed lower extremity examination to evaluate your needs.

Concussion Management

A concussion is a type of mild traumatic brain injury that is caused by a direct blow or violent shaking to the head. You don’t have to hit your head to sustain a concussion; a body hit or fall that doesn’t include your head hitting the ground can also cause one. Concussions may include a short loss of consciousness, but in most cases individuals who get a concussion remain conscious. Concussions are common in high contact sports but can occur as a result of a fall, a car accident, a workplace injury, or any other accident that causes an impact to the brain.

They are caused by an injury, illness, or condition that affects the balance sensors in the inner ear or the brain. This causes a mismatch between the feedback from the eyes and the feedback from the balance sensors, which provokes dizziness and vertigo.

Shoulder with needles

Acupuncture

Medical acupuncture originated as a traditional Chinese medicine technique. Thin, single use acupuncture needles are inserted in various points throughout the body, following the meridians, or lines of energy, in the body. Most treatments involve 4-6 needles that are left in place for 15 to 20 minutes. This causes your body to release endorphins, which are natural pain-killing chemicals.
